Sure, here’s a simple recipe for lasagna that serves 6-8 people:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz.) of your favorite pasta sauce
  • 1 can (14 oz.) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 box (16 oz.) lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the pasta sauce, crushed tomatoes, water, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  5. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange a layer of lasagna noodles on top, followed by a layer of the cheese mixture and a layer of the meat sauce. Repeat these layers until you’ve used up all the ingredients, ending with a layer of meat sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the lasagna.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the lasagna is heated through.
  9. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
